Marvel’s SECRET INVASION Trailer Shows Nick Fury as Last Line of Defense

He is back! D23 Expo 2022 delivered Marvel’s first trailer Secret Invasion, a highly anticipated miniseries featuring the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. This trailer is a doozy, so feel free to sit down while you watch.

As for the plot, we know that Nick Fury will team up with Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), first introduced in Captain Marvel, to stop the Skrulls. The Skrulls have infiltrated our world, and it’s up to good old Fury to stop their destruction.

In the trailer, we see the other star players of Secret Invasionincluding Colbie Smulders reprising his role as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman returning as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle back in action as the legendary James Rhodes/War Machine.

Along with the returning favorites, we have the newbies – Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Carmen Ejogo, Christopher McDonald and Killian Scott. At this time, we don’t know who the players above are playing. From the trailer, it looks like Ben-Adir could represent a Skrull.

The series hails from creator Kyle Bradstreet, with Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim leading the way.

First, this casting is unequivocally stacked. Olivia Colman and Kingsley Ben-Adir are absolute titans of their craft, while Emilia Clarke is another incredible performer with plenty of experience in the genre. I’m thrilled to see our old favorites return and happy that Nick Fury is getting the stardom he deserves.

Secret Invasion seems like the thriller antidote to Marvel’s instinctive penchant for comedic comedy, and I’m here for it. Watch the trailer below before you screw it all up and tune in for the ride of a lifetime when the series hits Disney Plus in 2023.
