‘Ahsoka’, ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 and more ‘Star Wars’ shows coming to Disney +

If you need more Star wars, you’re lucky. There are quite a few new shows (and one coming back) coming to Disney +. Check them out below.

Ahsoka (to confirm)

Rosario Dawson is set to reprise his role as the badass saber in Ahsoka Tano, the former student of Anakin Skywalker (before he sinks), originally introduced in the popular animated film and series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Dawson donned the Togruta-born icon’s montrals as the first live iteration of the character for The Mandalorian Season 2 and immediately won praise. Now we’re going to see what she’s been up to since meeting Grogu and Mando (Pedro Pascal), and rumor has it that it may involve a certain blue-skinned villain and some Star Wars: Rebels alums come to life. –Damien holbrook

Andor (2022)

The last time we left Diego Luna’s convoluted rebel hero Cassian Andor, he and Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso were tragically dying after bringing new hope to the galaxy in the late 2016s. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But one of canon’s greatest heroes deserves an animated backstory, and for 12 episodes, this spin-off offers one in Thief one spy thriller from co-writer Tony Gilroy. This Roots of Rebellion story is alongside Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma. “There are tons of possibilities to explore,” Luna said excitedly. “It’s building a revolution.” –Robert edelstein

The Mandalorian (2022)

Were always stunned nearly a year after seeing a lightsaber Luke Skywalker (a digitally aged Mark Hamill), who appeared in the Season 2 finale. He took the lovable but powerful alien Grogu from his Mandalorian protector (Pascal) to train him, but we can only hope that these two don’t stay apart for long. Here’s what we know: Filming began in fall 2021, and aside from Mando, we’ll see the return of bounty hunter ally Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and—likely– the avenging villain Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), who is surely not happy to have lost Grogu too. –Jim halterman

Lando (to confirm)

Writer and producer Justin Simien (Dear Whites) is in the early stages of development for this series focused on passer Lando Calrissian. The cast has yet to be announced for the series, but it was originally played by Billy Dee Williams and more recently by Donald Glover in 2018. Solo: A Star Wars Story. –Kiera Bussiere

the sidekick (to confirm)

This Leslye Headland mystery thriller (Russian doll) will take place during the final days of the High Republic Era, which was the golden age of the Jedi and the height of the Galactic Republic. He also plans to uncover some of the dark secrets of the emerging Dark Side of the Force. –Kiera Bussiere

Rangers of the New Republic (to confirm)

The New Democratic Republic is explored in this drama, and its future is on the line (it’s not in active development, according to Lucasfilm). Yes it happens, it will be settled in time with The Mandalorian, Boba Fett’s book, and Ahsoka. Did someone say crossover? –Kiera Bussiere
