5 action-adventure games to play while waiting for GTA 6

8 years later and there is still no sign of GTA 6, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many more amazing action-adventure games to play while we wait for Rockstar Games to announce the most anticipated title of the 21st century.

It might still be some time until we see a new installment in the Grand Theft Auto series, with various rumors indicating it could be 2025 by then. GTA 6 come.

Even if GTA V has taken the series to new heights with personalities like GTA Online, after 8 years, fans are starting to get a little impatient. So, while waiting for us to wait GTA 6 Announcement, here are 5 games you can play while waiting.

1. Cyberpunk 2077

There is no doubt about it, Cyberpunk 2077 received quite a bit of reviews when it launched in 2020. The reviews were fair and came from those of the previous generation of consoles, as the game was riddled with so many bugs. In fact, the PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 was so bad that Sony launched a no questions asked refund program for the game.

Now I know it’s not exactly to sell you the game. But other than the PlayStation 4 issues the game is really amazing, especially on a high end PC. The world is immersive, huge, and absolutely beautiful. There is an array of customizations and everything you would expect from a futuristic open world game.

Additionally, CD Projekt Red has made an effort to fix all bugs in the game and a year after release the game is in a much healthier condition.

2. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Sleeping dogs is an older title, first released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC before receiving a “definitive edition” for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2014.

Even though the title is now 9 years old, it still holds up incredibly well, especially if you’re playing Definitive Edition. Not only does the game take place in an open-world version of Hong Kong, it also features excellent hand-to-hand combat as well as a fun shooter game.

3. Mafia: definitive edition

The Definitive Edition of the Classic Mafia the game is one of the best remakes of recent times and is a must-have game whether or not you’ve played the original Mafia game in 2002.

As many fans probably already know, Mafia is a ‘gangster’ game set in 1930s America. Not only does the game have a gripping story, but there are also great fight scenes, shootouts and more. Visually speaking, Mafia: definitive edition is one of the best remakes you will find and is a must see for fans of the gangster genre.

4. Saints Row: the third remastered

The Saints Street The series has always been somewhat of a parody of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but they do it so well. If you are looking for a wacky, open-world, action-packed game then Saints Row: the third remastered is obvious.

Even if Saints Row: the third still holds up to this day, there are only a few months left until reboot ‘Saints Row ‘ versions, so if you’re okay with waiting a bit longer, a next-gen reboot of the series is sure to hold you back until GTA 6 come.

5. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy | The definitive edition

At the time of writing this article, Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Edition Trilogy is not out yet. But come on, who isn’t excited to return to those classic titles with improved graphics and an updated control scheme?

Grand Theft Auto III, grand Theft Auto Vice City, and grand Theft Auto San Andreas are three of the most iconic games in the series, but have become incredibly outdated. However, with the Definitive Edition on the horizon, rock star games has updated lighting, character models, textures, control scheme and more.
